Cake for Breakfast?

1 Jul

Sure, why not!?

Anything should be allowed when it’s your birthday.  My work place started celebrating my birthday the day before my actual birthday because my boss was awesome enough to give me my birthday off.  I was showered with a huge bag full of all my favorite hard candies, lots of birthday cards with gift cards, and a shiny big purse from my boss. I love big purses, and even more I love shiny purses!

My boss also picked up this extremely heavy but super delicious key lime cake! Just in case you can not read the middle part of the cake it says Happy Birthday Wild Girl! Too funny!

This morning, I woke up to Luis with a red velvet cake! And.. a little gift.  Another camera to add to my collection, but this is a camera I’ve been talking about for awhile now.  I love when my husband listens to me.

The perfect camera for our little get away this weekend with my mom and aunt, because it’s water proof! Also excited about snow days with this camera so it doesn’t ruin the life of my “big/real” camera with the drastic temperature changes that I have no patience for.  We didn’t eat the cake though, we are waiting for my mom and aunt to join the cake smorgasbord later tonight. Instead we went out for a birthday breakfast.

Today totally beat being at work. I was able to clean the house and prepare for my family without stressing, while enjoying the day with my husband.  Speaking of cleaning, in the middle of my kitchen cleaning project I got a call from our apartment office telling me someone was there to deliver me a package. Me? A delivery? I don’t know anyone here in Atlanta, who would send  me something?

Oh my goodness, too cute and such a surprise! My sister-in-law in Miami had cupcakes made for me and one of them was in my  new favorite flavor since moving to Atlanta (because it’s everywhere) salted caramel cupcakes!

I consider myself a Fourth of July baby being so close to the holiday, so this year I wanted to celebrate it differently since we are in a new city and with my mom and aunt coming to visit, I made some Holiday decorations. Here is a sneak peak…

See it there in the back, by the dining table?

Maybe this one will help better?

First of July birthday celebration to be continued throughout the weekend! Super excited!

Hope everyone has an awesome long weekend with lots of good food, people, and fun!
