Nakato Japanese Restaurant @ Cheshire Bridge Road

19 Sep

This past weekend, after a major win for the Yellow Jackets, the boys and I tried a new Japanese restaurant that Hoki found online.

Nakato Japanese Restaurant is divided between three different style rooms; the Teppan “Hibachi” dining room, the Tatami room (where you remove your shoes and sit on the floor), and lastly the one we dined in, the tradition style sitting room. I also noticed that they have a small side garden where you could sit outside and relax, or possibly have a drink.

A whole lot of sushi, not even sure what was ordered.

Then came the main course and what could be the best thing I have eaten since Japan. It is my new obsession; hot pot, otherwise known as Shabu-Shabu.

Get ready for some action pictures of our sweet, funny, and super tiny server Moya setting up the hot pot for us.

What’s on fire you ask? Kaki Rockefeller; grilled oysters topped with mozzarella, bacon, and spinach. Yea, we take food pretty seriously  =)

Look at the excitement on his face!  He wasn’t the only one exited, I was too! No lie, it was the best thing ever! We ate it all and the broth was so delicious, I ended up dreaming about the broth all night and wished that I had asked our server to pack up the left over broth for me to take home.

And of course after a feast you have to order dessert to top it all off. Green tea creme brulee and ginger ice cream.

I am so happy Hoki found this place, it was the best meal ever!

Zen on Ten Asian Bistro and Sushi Bar

Luis and I can’t get enough of this place!  We have been to this restaurant at least three times in the past two weeks.

I am not sure if it’s because it is so close to our place or because of the awesome “fishbowl” drinks they serve, which this girl is in need of on a Friday night after a long and hectic week at the office!  We heart Zen on Ten Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar.

I am not super happy with the portion sizes, but it’s the best tasting sushi that we have had so far in Atlanta, not that we have ventured very far in exploring sushi restaurants.

My favorite beginner dishes; cucumber salad or a seaweed salad with Tuna Tataki.

And our favorite roll, the Yummy Roll.  I also really love the design of the restaurant, it gives off an organic, and cozy feel.

I just wanna steal those lamps!

On a side note, I have been lacking in posts because it took me awhile to figure out how to upload more pictures onto the blog since I have recently reached max capacity of photograph uploads.  I thought it was the end of my blogging experience.  Thank goodness for Google and my very smart, but short fused husband to explain to me how to solve the problem and continue on with the blog.
